What are Bonded Seals needed for?

Bonded Seals are used as seals against excess pressure. Like commercially available washers, they are used on screws to seal openings impermeably to various media. Compared to conventional sealing rings made of soft metal, they have the advantage of being able to withstand very high pressures and have a self-sealing effect. They are therefore used

  • in hydraulic systems
  • on pressure vessels
  • on engines (oil and fuel system)

In which industries are Bonded Seals used?

Screws fitted with Bonded Seals only need to be tightened to the correct torque to achieve an optimum sealing effect. Therefore, installation is uncomplicated and quick. Bonded Seals are therefore popular

  • in the automotive sector
  • in pressure vessel construction
  • with hydraulic system manufacturers
