What are rubber buffers?
Rubber buffers, vibration dampers or elastomer springs are damping elements for vibration-free mounting of machines, motors or plant components. By mounting on an elastic buffer, a mechanical decoupling of the component to be damped from the rest of the plant takes place. Examples of such units, which are best mounted vibration-free, are pumps, motors or compressors.
Elastomer springs are usually made of rubber, but can also be combined with other materials such as metal for mounting. This makes it easy to provide vibration dampers with threads, hooks or threaded rods for easy mounting.
Due to their universal applicability, there is hardly any branch of industry that does not rely on these little elastic helpers.
