What are cable grommets?

Cable grommets are rings or hoses made of rubber through which electrical cables are laid. They can have a cross-section that varies along their length. In this case, there is usually a profile at one end that allows them to be fastened in a hole or punched-out section, while the grommet tapers at the other end to tightly enclose the cables.
